A good sticker ends up on a water bottle at the gym, a laptop in a meeting and a cooler at the lake, and it stays there for years. Die-cut or kiss-cut?
Die-cut stickers are cut through the backing to the exact shape of your design, so the hand-out itself is the shape. Kiss-cut stickers are cut through the vinyl only and stay on a square or rectangular backing that peels away, which makes them easier for sticker sheets and for printing info on the backing.
Art that cuts well
- Add a border. A white or colored outline around a complex shape gives the cut room and makes the sticker pop on any surface.
- Avoid tiny islands. Thin points and gaps narrower than about an eighth of an inch are hard to cut and easy to tear.
- Send vector art. We build the cut line from it. Not sure what you have? Run it through the print file checker.
