GUIDE — MARKET BOOTHS
What to print for a market booth.
Banners, table covers, price cards, stickers and the card that brings customers back. A checklist from a studio that sets up at central Ohio markets with its own brands.
Traxler Graphics sponsors Common Greens and sets up at central Ohio markets with our own brands, so this is the list we would hand a new vendor. A market booth has about two seconds to tell someone walking past who you are and what you sell. Everything below serves that.
Readable from the aisle
- A banner across the front of the tent. Your name and what you sell, in a few big words. Vinyl for most days, mesh if the market gets windy. See vinyl banners.
- A fitted table cover. Logo on the front panel. It hides the storage bins and makes a folding table look like a shop.
- A sign at eye level. A retractable banner or an A-frame at the corner of the booth catches people coming from the side.
Inside the booth
- Price cards on everything. Shoppers who have to ask often walk away instead.
- A small menu board if you sell food or a range of options.
- “We take cards” and your payment handle where people can see it.
- Matching shirts or hats for whoever is working the booth, so customers know who to ask.
What goes home with the customer
- Business cards or postcards with a QR code to your shop, Instagram or email list.
- Stickers. The cheapest merch there is, and they end up on water bottles all week. See die-cut stickers.
- Labels and bags with your name, so the product advertises you on the way to the car.
Built for outdoors
Markets mean sun, wind and the occasional downpour. Use weather-rated materials for anything outside, weigh down the tent and the banner stand, and laminate the cards that get handled all day.
Questions people ask
What is the most important sign at a market booth?
The one that says who you are and what you sell, readable from the aisle. Put it high, usually as a banner across the front of the tent.
Do I need a table cover?
It is one of the cheapest ways to look established. A fitted cover with your logo on the front hides the storage under the table and reads from across the market.
Should I put prices on everything?
Yes. Shoppers who have to ask often do not. Clear price cards sell more than a pretty display with no prices.
How do I keep customers after the market?
Give them a reason to find you later: a card or sticker with a QR code to your shop, your Instagram or an email sign-up.
If it can be printed, we make it.
